My light, my muse, my breath,<\/p>\n
You are the life I want so desperately to know.
\nI cannot have you, so I will leave for you this journal,
\nempty and beckoning.<\/p>\n
Your life will be filled with challenge and accolade,
\nand there will be times you feel discomfort.
\nKnow that you succeed so highly because you are you.<\/p>\n
You are unique in this world,
\nbut it is a world that tries to bend us.<\/p>\n
Please embrace the moments,
\nhowever rare they may be,
\nto sit back in your chair,
\nin your office,
\nand remember who you are.<\/p>\n
You inspire others,
\nand will always do so.
\nBut feed your own soul inspiration,
\nwhether it is from the book of poetry I give you,
\nor it is with a nice pen,
\nin a nice journal.<\/p>\n
Do not lose *you*,
\nbecause if I cannot have you,
\nI want to know that you will always be true to who you are,
\nand will be both generous with others,
\nand protective of yourself.<\/p>\n
