For You

I want to give so much to you, more than you can know
The tickle of a garment new, a trip to Everest’s snow
A smile known to but a few, a touch that moves you so
Given while the morning dew tells you I’m your beau

Our lives are caught in paradigms writ so long before
A story full of nursery rhymes scattered on the floor
But when we step across those lines to see what is in store
Our hearts begin a noiseless chime and beg for so much more

Today I give a little gift, wrapped in silent need
With hopes that such a tiny lift will plant a tiny seed
That once begotten will find a drift into a soulful deed
And produce a major world shift towards a love agreed
